Introduction
Our Family Childcare is operated as part of a children's complex in the green zone of the 11th district, Kelenvölgy, on the upper floor of a two-storey, 300 m2 house. While the day nursery age group is on the ground floor, older children above 3 live their everyday lives on the upper floor in a group room with a large terrace.
Adjacent with the group room is our exercise room where, in addition to exercises integrated in our weekly schedule, children can enjoy moving during the winter period or in case of bad weather in this jumping room.
Salt room - fresh air in our institution
The jumping room and the salt room are integral elements of the same unit. Thanks to the benefits of salty air, the number of children absent due to respiratory diseases is spectacularly reduced during the autumn-winter period.
Our education philosophy
The goal of our education is to develop the personality of children between 3 and 6 in a healthy, harmonic manner. We also attach great importance to the formation of a healthy hierarchical system within groups so that children may be able to live in a community and, later on, become suitable for school life.
It is our pedagogical priority to develop children's self-confidence, expand their scope of interest and have them experience as much success as possible in the course of their life in our community.
Operation of our Family Childcare
Our Family Childcare offers continuous, kindergarten-like catering and education from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 18:00 o'clock.
Our pedagogical programme has been designed for children above 3, with one of its stages being the day's topic session, that is, playful sessions organised around a selected topic requiring preparations on behalf of the teacher. This activities take into account children's individual needs and different development and, therefore, they are only performed in small groups.
Our daily schedule is similar to that of the day nursery (see Hungarian-English Day Nursery), however, - due to children's more advanced age - the content and structure of sessions are different.
